Pretty and not so PINK!!!

I have been working on decorating a "girls" bedroom for a while now, but we just recently got it painted. I have had fabric picked out for at least 6 months, and dresser painted for about 3 months and was blessed with a new crib and changing table (I'm not taking Henri out of his until he is 7...).  But getting the room painted was the real hang up.  I still have some work to do.  I'll leave those touches as a surprise (or in case they never get done).

I love that chair.  It's "mom's" chair.  If my brother were reading this he would know which one it was.  It is so comfortable.  I hope to get a white slip cover for it, but for now it works as is.  I need to do some sewing,  dust ruffle, curtains, changing pad cover.  It will get their though.  I'm thrilled with the room despite all that still needs done.  I feel like I have a real room ready for a little girl to hopefully come.

I have to say, I love a lot about this room.  But I really love these bins.  I got them from Meijer and as my husband put it, they are so girly.  My response, YEAH!
This is what the room looked like before we moved in.  I haven't taken a picture about since we had, but it has been a hodge podge of mis-matched baby furniture and those really pink walls.  I do think Henri was sad to see the "bubbles" go.
Ah, fresh walls, and a purple dresser!!!  It's getting there!
